Adams Files For Trigg District 3, Goodwin For PVA, Fowler & Whitten As Constables

In what was a flurry of filings just before Tuesday afternoon deadline, a Republican primary is coming for Trigg County’s magistrate seats in District 3, 5 and 6, as well as its Property Valuation Administrator position.

Monday afternoon, Trigg County Clerk Carmen Finley reported that former magistrate Jon Goodwin filed as a Republican for PVA — joining James Kyler and incumbent PVA Lauren Fowler in the race.

Furthermore, Joshua Dale Adams has filed for District 3 magistrate as a Republican, and at the moment will oppose incumbent Cameron Sumner. Adams currently serves on the Trigg County Planning Commission. William G. Linton is the only Democrat filed for the District.

Dennis Whitten withdrew from what’s going to be a contentious Republican primary for District 6 magistrate, and has re-filed as Constable for District 6.

Former City Works Director Kerry Fowler has also filed for Constable, as a Republican in District 4.

Candidate drawing for ballot position will be held at the Trigg County Clerk’s Office at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon.
