While a new winter weather system is expected to impact the region at midweek, it appears most of the freezing precipitation will stay north of the Ohio River in Illinois and Indiana.
Christine Wielgos, the lead warning coordination meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Paducah, says the weather will be seasonable until Wednesday.
