Electric crews have made significant progress restoring power after a winter storm moved through western Kentucky overnight Wednesday and into Friday morning causing widespread outages around the region.
Pennyrile Electric spokesman Brent Gilkey tells the News Edge a few hundred members are still without power in Caldwell, Lyon and Trigg counties Saturday morning but those outages should be restored throughout the day.

Meanwhile, Kenergy is reporting more than 350 members in Caldwell County are without power this morning, along with nearly 210 members in Lyon County, and over 260 in Hopkins County.
This morning, Kentucky Utilities is reporting over 15 outages this morning in Caldwell County, less than 5 outages in Christian County, and less than 10 outages in Hopkins County.
