Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges In Christian County

A traffic stop for speeding on Princeton Road in Christian County led to drug charges Wednesday afternoon.

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Jack Rowlands says 29-year-old Stephen Adamson of Paducah was stopped for speeding and during the stop, a law enforcement K-9 detected the odor of narcotics in the vehicle.

After a search of the vehicle, meth was reportedly found wrapped in a dollar bill in the area of the driver seat.

He is charged with speeding, tampering with physical evidence, possession of meth, and operating on a suspended or revoked license. He was also cited for no insurance, license plate not legible, and obstructed windshield.
