Due to the absence of attorneys, another pretrial conference was scheduled for Robert Torian, III who is scheduled to go to trial in June in connection to a fatal shooting on McHenry Street in August 2019.
During a pretrial conference Wednesday afternoon, Torian appeared via Zoom from the Christian County Jail before Christian Circuit Court Judge Andrew Self, however, his public defenders were not in the courtroom. Judge Self was going to continue the case until the trial date, but Torian asked for another pretrial conference and expressed his frustration that his rights are being violated.

Torian is charged with murder in the death of 25-year old Terrell Moore of Hopkinsville after police said the two men got into a verbal argument while inside the same vehicle on August 11, 2019, on McHenry Street. Police reported that Torian got out of the back seat, opened the front passenger side door, and shot Moore in the face. Torian was reportedly identified as the shooter by an eyewitness.
