Multiple reports indicate that the interim tag has been removed on Devin Brumfield, who earlier this week was tabbed as the next full-time director of the Christian County Health Department.
Previously the CCHD Administrative Services Coordinator, Brumfield was officially moved into the interim director role on July 16 of last year, following the resignation of Kayla Bebout.
Bebout had held the position since 2017, and noted in a CCHD meeting on June 29, 2021, that she would be exploring new opportunities in the healthcare field.
In the interim, Brumfield and his staff have had to navigate through — among many challenges — the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and its “Omicron” variant, alongside the county’s return to the classroom.
Brumfield also has previous employment experience with Pennyroyal Mental Health. According to christiancountyhd.com, Brumfield will continue to have more than 30 employees under his direction.
