A Christian County man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on drug trafficking and weapons possession charges.
The indictment handed down last month in Paducah charges David Phillips with three counts of distribution of meth and single counts of possession with the intent to distribute meth and prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
Phillips was one of seven people arrested during an investigation on Greenville Road last July. Christian County Sheriff’s deputies said they found a suspected meth lab buried in the ground, scales, two guns, and a handgun reported stolen out of Michigan during a search warrant executed at the home.
Six other people were charged with possession of meth.
The federal indictment said Phillips distributed five grams or more of meth on three occasions in June and July with more than 50 grams found in his possession.
Phillips is also charged with possessing a firearm after felony convictions in Christian County in 2019 and 2020 for burglary and trafficking meth.
Phillips was served a federal arrest warrant last week. He could face no less than 25 years in prison and a large fine if convicted on the federal charges.
