The National Service is reporting a possible tornado touchdown near Fulton, with more than 250 Pennyrile Electric customers without power in Todd County.
According to a local storm report, 58 miles per hour wind gusts were reported near the community of Cayce in Fulton County. The report indicates metal roofs were blown off hog barns, with tree debris in roadways. The National Weather Service indicates the damage was possibly caused by a tornado.
Meanwhile, Pennyrile Electric reported more than 250 customers in Todd County were left without power Tuesday morning when a severe thunderstorm moved through the county shortly after 8:00 after a tree fell on some power lines near the Sharon Grove area in the northern section of the county. The majority of the outages were restored shortly before 11:30 with less than 50 outages still being reported.
Christian and Todd Counties were placed under a severe thunderstorm warning around 8:00 Tuesday morning, with minimal damage reported in Christian and Trigg Counties.
