The City of Kuttawa has been awarded $13,600 in municipal road aid emergency funds from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
District 1 spokesman Keith Todd says the funding is to assist with the repair of a damaged drainage structure on Cedar Street about 3/10ths of a mile south of U.S. 62 in Kuttawa. He says damage to the structure has created a hazard for vehicles and pedestrians passing through the area near Kuttawa City Hall.
Transportation Cabinet Secretary Jim Gray says they are pleased to approve this request for funding to provide assistance to the City of Kuttawa to repair and maintain safe connections in the community.
According to Todd, the City of Kuttawa is responsible for administering the work.
