A man was assaulted in a robbery on East 9th Street in Hopkinsville Saturday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 36-year-old Michael McGregor assaulted a man by punching and kicking him several times before taking his money then fleeing the area.
The victim reportedly suffered injuries from the assault but did not want to be taken to the hospital.
McGregor returned to the home later and was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery.
