Deputies have released the name of a Cadiz woman that was flown to a Nashville hospital after a wreck on Rockcastle Road in Trigg County Saturday night.
Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputy Gary Hicks says a truck failed to navigate a curve at the 5000 block of Rockcastle Road causing it to hit a guardrail and become airborne before striking a tree and coming to a rest on the side of the road.
37-year-old Ashley Boyd was reportedly ejected in the crash and was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville where she remains in critical condition. 31-year-old Ryan Pilarski of Cadiz was also in the vehicle but refused medical attention at the scene.
After the wreck, the truck caught fire and was fully engulfed in flames when authorities arrived.
Hicks says they are still investigating to find out who was the driver. The crash happened just after 9 pm.
