It appears the region has escaped damage from a line of severe thunderstorms that passed through Monday morning, with much of the region placed under a tornado watch in the overnight hours.
The tornado Watch for Trigg, Caldwell, Calloway, and Lyon Counties was canceled shortly before 5:30. The tornado watch for Christian and Todd Counties was canceled around 6:00.
The storm system did produce a brief tornado warning in Calloway and Marshall Counties, but that warning was canceled after the storm became weaker.
The storm has produced some wind and heavy rainfall. The Weather Edge has not received any reports of damage as a result of the storm system. A flood watch that was scheduled to remain in place until 9:00 has been canceled.
