CCPS Names Crider As New Consolidation Coordinator

Christian County Public Schools officials have announced Kevin Crider as the district’s High School Consolidation Coordinator.

In what’s been termed a new role for the schools, Crider will be responsible for the coordination of district, school and community efforts to consolidate Christian County High School, Hopkinsville High School and Gateway Academy. This includes the alignment of the physical project, the school’s education model, school support services, activities and community engagement.

Most recently the Christian County Middle School principal, Crider will report directly to CCPS Superintendent Chris Bentzel.

Bentzel said the district is “thrilled” to appoint Kevin, who “knows how to deliver what’s best for the district and its students” following his service at CCMS.

Crider’s teaching career began within CCPS as an instructor at Christian County High School, where he later was appointed as the school’s athletic director.

In 2008, Crider was selected as the assistant principal of CCHS before being named principal of Christian County Middle School in 2015.

Crider noted he truly appreciates the opportunity to serve CCPS during “progressive times,” and that he’s “passionately committed” to the hard work required to help open the new academy, and to help students “be the best they can in this new environment.”
