The incumbent Property Valuation Administrator and two Republican challengers made their cases for votes at Thursday’s Trigg County Republican part meeting.
First to take the podium at the March 10 party meeting were the candidates for Property Valuation Administrator. Incumbent Lauren Fowler, who is finishing her first term, discussed implementing the ability for PVA website users to pay for records with credit cards. She added her first term has been challenging with rising assessments.
With the speaking order determined by a draw, former Trigg County Magistrate Jon Goodwin touted his experience in real estate and private business as his reason for support.
Trigg County businessman James Kyler noted his life-long residency in the county and his desire to serve during his remarks.
Other candidates speaking during Thursday’s meeting were Magisterial candidates in District 3, 5, and 6. Remarks from those candidates will be included in future News Edge stories.
Fowler, Goodwin, and Kyler will square off in the Trigg County Republican Primary May 17th, with no Democratic opposition in the November General Election.
