Jamus Redd To Officially Take Circuit Bench Friday

56th District Judge Jamus Redd will be sworn in as Circuit Judge during a Friday afternoon ceremony at the Trigg County Justice Center.

The investiture ceremony is scheduled for 1:00. Judge Redd says he is hoping to be joined by former Circuit Judge and Supreme Court Justice Bill Cunningham and current Circuit Judge C. A. Woodall, III.

Redd was appointed Circuit Judge last week by Governor Andy Beshear. He was one of three candidates nominated for the post by a nominating committee. Attorney and former Trigg County Attorney H. B. Quinn and Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Jill Giordano.

The vacancy was created when Judge Woodall decided to retire from the bench on January 31. Judge Redd is the only candidate to file for 56th Circuit Judge in the non-partisan election this year.
