Tickets For ‘Dinner On Main’ On Sale At Janice Mason Art Museum

For the first time since 2019, officials from the Janice Mason Art Museum are more than pleased to be convening once again for their “Dinner On Main” event.

Scheduled for 6:30 p.m., May 14, a long line of tables and party lighting will straddle Main Street in — beginning at City Hall and running as far as needed for the limited seating, before road blocks at the Trigg County Judicial Center help contain a private, intimate setting with historic downtown Cadiz.

A global pandemic has twice thwarted the museum’s top annual fundraiser, and board member Kim Fortner said there’s great anticipation for a robust turnout.

Like any other non-profit organization, the former post office of Cadiz turned protectorate and bastion of local and regional artwork needs fundraising and donor support to keep in shape — and Fortner noted that “Dinner On Main” plays a large role in fiscal matters.

A dinner like this will showcase many local restaurants in and around Trigg County.

Should weather be a factor, Fortner said there are contingency plans in place if needed in order to conduct the dinner as planned.

Event goers will begin with hors d’oeuvres at the museum around 6 p.m. that evening and can check out the current exhibit before heading down to Main Street for the classic affair.

Tickets went on sale Tuesday, and are $55 for general admission and $50 for members of the museum.

For reservations and ticket purchases, visit the museum at 71 Main Street in Cadiz, or call (270) 522-9056.
