A trailer was destroyed in a fire on Interstate 24 in Oak Grove Monday night.
Pembroke Fire Department Chief Nick Belair says a trailer full of carpet caught fire on Interstate 24 at the Fort Campbell Boulevard exit and led to the road being temporarily blocked as the fire was extinguished.
The truck driver was able to detach the trailer from the truck keeping the fire contained to the trailer.
No one was injured in the fire and the roadway was quickly reopened. Firefighters from Oak Grove, Pembroke, Herndon, and Fort Campbell fire departments assisted in extinguishing the fire.
