A Hopkinsville man was charged after a traffic stop on Sharpe Street in Hopkinsville Tuesday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 45-year-old Michael Depp was stopped for no tail light or visible license plate and during the stop, he gave police a false name.
A piece of cardboard was reportedly found in the back window with “lost tag” written on it. Depp was identified after officers looked up his driver’s license photo.
During a search of his vehicle, police say a bag of suspected meth was found. Depp was found to have warrants for failure to appear.
He was arrested and charged with possession of meth, no tail lamps, theft of identity, failure to register a motor vehicle, and failure of owner to maintain required insurance.
