Ward 12 Candidate Matthew Handy Touts Government Experience at Debate

Though facing no opponent in the May 17 primary election, Matthew Handy was allowed three minutes to share about himself at the Hopkinsville League of Women Voters forum Tuesday. He says it is time for new representation in Ward 12.

click to download audioHandy was expected to have opposition in the Republican primary from Elizabeth Draude. However, she withdrew from the race on March 10. Her name will still appear on the primary ballot, but any votes cast for her will not be counted.

Handy will face Democrat incumbent Philip Brooks in the November general election.
