Jennie Stuart Health officials have announced the arrival of Zimmer Biomet’s trademarked knee system, ROSA, which is a sophisticated robotic technology capable of revolutionizing regional orthopaedic services.
The ROSA Knee System combines robotic techniques with industry-leading knee implants, assisting surgeons personalize and customize procedures for their patients. With this technology, JSH professionals will be able to send most patients home following same-day assessment and care.
JSH Orthopaedics specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of conditions: ranging from traumatic and sports-related injuries to chronic and debilitating arthritis. The ROSA Knee System includes features to assist with bone resections and assessing the state of soft tissues in order to facilitate implant positioning intra-operatively.
Data provided by ROSA Knee assists with complex decision-making and enables surgeons to use computer and software technology to control and move surgical instruments, allowing for greater precision and flexibility during procedures.
Dr. David Bealle and Dr. Rudy Robbe both completed rigorous fellowship training and are board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. Dr. Timothy Chang completed his orthopaedic residency training at Brook Army Medical Center following his service as the general medical officer in the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, Texas.
