Bowling Green Man Charged After Hitting Elkton Police Cruiser

A Bowling Green man was charged after he led law enforcement on a pursuit before striking an Elkton Police officer’s cruiser Tuesday night.

Todd County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called for a reckless driver on Guthrie Road and Elkton Police located 43-year-old Jonathan Reddell who was driving towards oncoming traffic on West Main Street.

He reportedly crossed the center line three times and was waving his hands around and screaming. During the pursuit, deputies say he stopped a few times but would not get out of the vehicle or comply with the officer’s commands.

The pursuit came to an end when Reddell hit an Elkton Police cruiser then got out of his car and still would not comply with officers and had to be tased before being arrested.

He is charged with reckless driving, first-degree fleeing or evading police, second-degree wanton endangerment, DUI, resisting arrest, and menacing.
