A metal manufacturer in Christian County is expanding and creating more jobs for local residents.
Governor Andy Beshear announced Wednesday morning that Legacy Metals, LLC, a building materials supplier and manufacturer, will grow its current operation with a 24,000-square-foot expansion that will create 100 well-paying jobs for local residents.
The governor said the $1.2 million project in Hopkinsville will include a new 12,000 square-foot facility that will house two manufacturing lines to develop and trim roofing and siding panels, with a separate 12,000-square foot warehouse added to provide room for inventory and further expansion.
Lewis Stoll, founder and president of Legacy Metals, expressed his gratitude to Christian County Judge-Executive Steve Tribble, Christian County Fiscal Court, Governor Beshear, and the Kentucky Economic Finance Authority for their support of the company’s expansion. He said they are thrilled to announce this expansion and the subsequent economic activity it generates. Stoll says they are looking forward to continued growth and success for generations to come.
Founded in 2017, Legacy Metals is a family-owned company that specializes in custom-length metal siding and roofing and offers a full-service lumberyard, metal and wood trusses, and customer building packages. Officials say they started with just two employees and have grown to employ over 26 Kentucky residents in the Hopkinsville area. In addition, the company facilitates local projects to be constructed through independent contractors, indirectly employing over 120 individuals over the last five years.
