72nd Hopkinsville Rotary Auction Nets $40K Friday Night

The 72nd Hopkinsville Rotary Auction had a strong Friday night, thanks to the week’s highest number of items auctioned.

More than 150 auctions were completed, totaling $18,110 in revenue for the club. The Diner and Sweets Shop raised $8,825.75 — another high for this week — while the “Hour” and “Goat” clubs raised another $13,342.

Friday’s total secured was north of $40,200.

With the Saturday auction still to come, Hopkinsville Rotary has now raised $357,225.99 — which is just $40,606.95 shy of last year’s finish.

To this point, the auction has only put forth 17 fewer items than last year.

All festivities for the 72nd Annual Hopkinsville Rotary Auction are taking place at the War Memorial building downtown, and those interested can visit both in person, through radio or digitally through a number of avenues — particularly on Facebook.
