Set for this next Monday through Saturday, the John L. Street Library “Spring Book Sale” in Cadiz should have little trouble bringing any and all types of readers to the table.
Kim Fortner, Technical Librarian, said there’s a plethora of reading options to choose from this time around…with a special section not so common to the annual event.
When purchasing books and other materials, Fortner and other library officials simply ask one to give a fair donation to go toward the organization and its facilities, as this fundraiser is particularly important and usually successful for the long-beloved library.
At the 2022 fall sale, there were hundreds upon hundreds of books available for purchase, with hundreds more stored inside the library’s garage.
Things will be no different this time around, and Fortner said there have been near-daily donations coming in over the winter months — restocking for future sales.
Though it’s impossible to know the full inventory, Fortner said there’s always a chance for someone to scoop up some valuable collectibles in the piles.
Rain is in the forecast for Monday, but that’s of little consequence. Fortner said the sale will go rain or shine.
Located at 244 Main Street, the sale will run from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday, and from 9-noon next Saturday.
