Though it was the most contentious of the debates Wednesday night, the three candidates for Hopkinsville Mayor agree that public safety is among the top priorities for the office.
Democrat Alethea West and Republicans JR Knight, and Vince Farrell had a heated exchange about police and public safety following a question about priorities for the city budget.

Debates hosted by the Christian County Republican Party and the Christian County Young Republicans will continue Thursday night at City Council Chambers featuring Hopkinsville City Council candidates beginning at 5:00 pm. The event is open to the public.
