A home on Donaldson Creek Road in Trigg County was destroyed in a fire Friday afternoon.
East Golden Pond firefighters say the home located at the 6200 block of Donaldson Creek Road was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived.
The owner was able to get the pets out of the home uninjured.
Firefighters say the home is a total loss and the cause is unknown at this time.
East Golden Pond fire department was assisted by Linton and South Road fire departments.
