Hopkinsville Community College is planning for a 30 million dollar budget for 2022-2023 as well as a focus on intentional growth. Monday, the College Board of Directors approved the budget, which will head to the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents for approval.
Chief Business Officer, Dr. Dale Leatherman says the budget is comprised of unrestricted and restricted funds and they were conservative in estimates for each.
The Board also approved the 2022-2026 Strategic Plan, which President Dr. Alissa Young says is something most community colleges are considering at this time.
She adds the goals are simple.
In other business, the Board discussed the annual President's Evaluation, with Chair Leigh Durden saying Dr. Young is doing well.
She says the areas that need work will benefit from the Strategic Plan.
Meanwhile, Richard Nelson resigned from the board following a move to Frankfort.
