A man was charged with DUI and assault of a police officer after a traffic stop in Trigg County Sunday morning.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say 39-year-old Chas Alexander was stopped for reckless driving after disregarding numerous stop signs.
During the stop, Alexander reportedly would not follow the deputy’s commands when asked to step out of the vehicle. The deputy then used his law enforcement K9 to apprehend Alexander.
He is charged with third-degree assault, DUI, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief. He was also cited for several traffic violations.
