With one week left before retirement, the community gathered to celebrate Community and Development Services Director Steve Bourne. Thursday evening, Hopkinsville Mayor Wendell Lynch said Bourne took the Planning Commission and turned it into what is now CDS.

click to download audio8th District State Representative Walker Thomas, who previously chaired the CDS Board, presented Bourne with a proclamation noting his years of service. Current Board Chair, Ben Bolinger was on hand to thank Bourne for his service and present him with a thank you gift. CDS Assistant Director, Holly Boggess presented Bourne with a thank you on behalf of the staff.
