A Benton man was charged after leading law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit in Christian County Sunday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they attempted to stop 18-year-old Trevor Towner on Kentucky 1682 and he fled at speeds of over 100 mph turning onto Greenville Road.
The pursuit came to an end when Towner stopped at the intersection of Greenville Road and Dogwood Kelly Road.
Towner was found to have an active warrant for theft of a firearm. He was taken into custody and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, speeding, and disregarding a stop sign.
