Less than week after being tagged as interim, officials within the Christian County Public Schools have named permanently named Lacey Ramirez the principal of Sinking Fork Elementary School.
Recently serving as the school’s assistant principal, Ramirez is a 2003 graduate of Hopkinsville High School who’s spent her entire educational career within the Christian County Public School system. In 2008, she began at Belmont Elementary School, then went to Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary before joining Sinking Fork’s administrative staff in 2018.
A graduate of Berea College, Western Kentucky University and Murray State University, Ramirez has two master’s degrees in education, as well as Level 1 and Level 2 endorsement for Supervisor or Instruction. She and her husband, Alex, reside in Hopkinsville with two children.
Sinking Fork’s SBDM Council met Monday and appointed her unanimously, under guidance of KRS 160.345 (h) (2b).
She begins her position June 1.
