56th District Judge Natalie White is the first person to announce she will run for the new 56th Circuit Court judgeship that will be created on January 1, 2023.
White announced on social media Monday that she was preparing her papers to file for the new judge post. Judge White was elected 56th District Judge in 2018 to fill the vacancy on the bench left by the retirement of Judge Jill Clark on December 31, 2018.
Judge White says she has truly enjoyed her time as 56th District Judge the past two years and is equally excited to run for this new position. She added she is ready for the challenge.
The Kentucky General Assembly voted in March to add a second Circuit Judge in the 56th circuit. The Circuit Judge position will be in place on January 1, 2023. The 56th Circuit was recognized by the Administrative Office of the Courts as having one of the heaviest caseloads of any circuit in the state.
