Christian County Circuit Court Judge John Atkins ordered the records from the May 17th Christian County Primary Election impounded in preparation for a hearing concerning election problems in the Ward 7 Hopkinsville City Council Republican Primary.
After issuing an order Tuesday setting a hearing for Wednesday, June 1, at noon, Judge Atkins called Christian County Sheriff Tyler DeArmond during Wednesday’s Christian Circuit Court session to order the records be impounded.
click to download audioThe hearing was scheduled to resolve an issue during the May 17th Primary Election in Christian County that involved 109 voters receiving the incorrect ballot in the Ward 7 Republican City Council Primary election between Doug Wilcox and Mark Graham. Unofficial results have Wilcox defeating Graham by a 185 to 184 margin.
