Three separate wrecks on Interstate 24 in Christian County sent four people to the hospital Thursday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a vehicle driven by Kristie Baley of Tennessee hydroplaned and hit the cable barriers at the 84-mile marker causing the vehicle to overturn into the roadway and injuring Baley and two kids.
After the first wreck, traffic in the westbound lanes was reportedly backed up causing a van to run into the back of a tractor-trailer at the 86 mile marker injuring the driver and causing the van to catch fire.
A third wreck with no injuries also occurred in the backup traffic at the 89-mile marker.
Deputies say all the injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening but they all went to the hospital to be checked out.
The first wreck was reported to law enforcement just before 8 am.
