Police have released more details about a pursuit in Hopkinsville Monday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop a motorcycle on West 15th Street after finding the driver 37-year-old Curtis Flick Jr. of Hopkinsville had active felony warrants.
Flick reportedly fled at speeds of 60 mph and disregarded stop signs before losing control of the motorcycle on East 14th Street and sliding sideways onto Walnut Street disabling the motorcycle.
Police say Flick then fled on foot but was quickly apprehended. He was reportedly found to have a bag of meth along with two hypodermic needles on him and another bag of meth was found in the path that he fled from law enforcement.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, operating on a suspended or revoked license, no motorcycle operator’s license, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second-degree fleeing or evading police, and disregarding a stop sign.
