Officials with Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resource have announced this upcoming Saturday and Sunday as “Free Fishing Days” for the Commonwealth.
Whether a visitor from outside the state, or a resident of Kentucky, this free fishing weekend is open to all interested. Size and number limits must still be followed in regards to the species of fish kept, but otherwise anyone anywhere can drop a line and fish one of the state’s many waterways.
Several communities are offering special free fishing events for fishing this Saturday.
Specifically in Trigg County, the 20th Annual “Take Kids Fishing” Day is set from 9 AM until noon this Saturday at West Cadiz Park. Pre-registration can be completed at the John L. Street Library or Cadiz City Hall.
“Kids Fishing Day” at Land Between the Lakes, meanwhile, will be held from 10 AM until 2 PM this Saturday at the Golden Pond Visitors Center. Fishing poles and bait will be provided.
