Peach Street Double Murder Suspect Seeking Speedy Trial

A Hopkinsville man charged in connection to a double homicide on Peach Street will be back in court in September when a possible trial date may be set.

Anthony Gaines is charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of 21-year old George Gomez and 25-year old Kiera Wallace who were found inside a Peach Street home on August 7, 2021.

During a pretrial conference Wednesday afternoon, Gaines’ attorney Brandi Jones asked Judge Andrew Self to set another hearing later this year to allow her time to review the discovery in this case.

Gaines is also charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
