The Trigg County Longspurs chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will host Jake’s Day Saturday.
The JAKES program stands for Juniors Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics, and Sportsmanship.
Western Kentucky University student and Trigg County High School alum Avery Harper is involved with Jake’s Day and says there are a variety of activities for all ages.

click to download audioJake’s Day will occur Saturday at the Johnston Farm. The event begins at 8 am and goes until noon. Lunch will be provided.
You can also sponsor a Jake’s member with a $10 donation.
Registration is available at 8 am on the day of the event, but participants are encouraged to pre-register so the correct amount of meals can be prepared.
