Greenville Road Murder Suspect Arraigned In 2006 Cold Case

One of two women charged in connection to a 2006 murder on Greenville Road was arraigned in Christian County Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon.

Regina Vause is charged with murder and first-degree robbery in the death of 84-year old Roscoe Mayes who police said died of blunt force trauma at his Greenville Road home in August 2006.

Vause, public defender Olivia Adams and Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling appeared before Judge Andrew Self who said he would appoint the Department of Public Advocacy for her case.

Judge Self set a pretrial conference for 1:00 on the afternoon of July 13.

Lashanda Person, also known as Lashanda Bell, was also scheduled to appear before Judge Andrew Self for a pretrial conference, however, there was some confusion about her last name and she was not in the courtroom.

Person, who is also charged with murder and first-degree robbery in Mayes’ death, appeared for arraignment last month and entered a not guilty plea.
