Hopkinsville Woman Charged With Drug Possession After Traffic Stop

A traffic stop on Richard Street in Hopkinsville led to the arrest of a Hopkinsville woman on drug charges Tuesday night.

Hopkinsville Police say 25-year-old Kenne Green of Hopkinsville was stopped for his license plate not being illuminated.

A passenger in the vehicle, 41-year-old Brandi Poindexter reportedly told police they had picked the vehicle up from her son and he had probably smoked marijuana inside of it.

After a search of Poindexter’s belongings, a razor blade, crack cocaine, and THC cartridge were reportedly found in her purse.  She is charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana.

Green was charged with driving on a DUI suspended license, failure to register the transfer of a motor vehicle, and rear license plate not illuminated.
