A man deported from the United States nearly three years ago has been indicted by a federal grand jury after he was located in Christian County last month.
Jose Alberto Rodriguez-Cruz was charged with Reentry After Deportation earlier this month — a charge that carries a prison sentence of no more than two years and a $250,000 fine.
The indictment said Rodriguez-Cruz, an alien, was found in the U.S. in December 2019 and February 2020 having already been denied admission and deported.
He was allegedly located in Christian County on May 18, having not obtained the consent of the Department of Homeland Security to reapply for admission to the United States.
