Ace Drywall Awarded Bid For Outside Remodel Of Save On Drugs

An older look of Save On Drugs.

For months, officials from the Trigg County Hospital Board have been ushering in change and opening up bids for the former Save On Drugs facility in Cadiz.

During a brief Wednesday conference call, its members unanimously approved a considerable bid totaling $88,481 to Ace Drywall, in what hospital CEO John Sumner said would be the renovation of the building’s outside look.

This includes new handicap ramps, sidewalks, columns for the front face, some roofing and some additional concrete work to the site.

The location at 266 Main Street has long been planned to be converted into a mini-primary care unit for the hospital, while serving as another expansion of the health organization’s growing and bustling campus.

During the April meeting, the board approved bids for the flooring, exterior doors, cabinetry and electrical work required for the new offices.

There was some hope and expectation that the remodel would be completed in August. Clearly, those timelines aren’t possible now, but the changes are coming nonetheless.
