Day two of the Western Kentucky State Fair is annually one of the busiest with the first Saturday of the fair usually drawing the largest crowds.
Activities get underway at 9 am Saturday with the 4-H and FFA Swine Show.
The babies and small children take to the stage in the convention center. The infant pageant for children 11 months and younger will be at 10 am. Admission is one dollar with parking costing five dollars.
The baby pageant for children 12 to 24 months will be at 11 am with the same admission costs.
The Tiny Tots pageant will be at noon for children between two and three years old.
Gates open at 4 o’clock as does the petting zoo in the livestock pavilion.
Rides begin at 5 pm with armbands available for unlimited rides on the midway.
The Mrs. Western Kentucky State Fair Pageant will be held at 5:30 in the convention center with the Miss Western Kentucky State Fair Pageant to follow at 7.
Admission to both is one dollar with parking at five dollars.
The pedal pull competitions will be at six in front of the convention center. Also at six will be the 4-H/FFA cattle show.
The demolition derby returns at 7 pm at the grandstand. Each derby will be composed of three heats and a consolation heat with one feature derby.
Admission ranges between $10 and $15 for the demo derby with parking at $5.
Fair board member Tony Meacham says Saturday night is always one of the biggest nights at the fair.
