A Hopkinsville woman was hit by a vehicle on Boales Street in Hopkinsville Monday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 24-year-old Kaliyah Ellis was struck by a car that fled the area before law enforcement arrived. Ellis reportedly told police she did not want an ambulance.
No arrest has been made but the charge is listed as first-degree wanton endangerment.
During the investigation, Ellis was found to have an outstanding warrant for theft by unlawful taking stemming from merchandise that was taken from Walmart by skip scanning and failing to render appropriate payment on two separate occasions.
She was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking (shoplifting).
