A Christian County woman charged in the shooting death of a Hopkinsville man on College Street in April of 2021 has accepted a plea deal in the case.
Kachelle Isbell and public defender Doug Moore appeared before Christian Circuit Court Judge Andrew Self Friday afternoon where she entered a guilty plea to an amended charge of second-degree manslaughter.
Police said Isbell fatally shot 33-year old Anthony Johnson in the neck in the early morning hours of April 3rd of last year. She was reportedly located at the scene of the shooting with a gun and admitted to shooting Johnson.
Isbell was granted a pretrial release by Judge Self in June under the condition she wear an ankle monitor and remain under house arrest with her mother in Murray.
Judge Self set formal sentencing for 11:00 the morning of August 16.
