The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be out in the next two weeks striping several state highways and interstates as part of a 600-mile effort to make the lines more visible to drivers.
In Christian County, 28 miles of the Breathitt Parkway to the Hopkins County line will get striped as will I-24 from the Trigg County line to the Tennessee border.
In Caldwell County, the striping will be done on U.S. 62 from the Lyon County line to the Hopkins County line. Crews will also freshen the center line on Kentucky 91 from the Christian County line to Pleasant Valley Road; Kentucky 2611; East Young Street; part of Kentucky 128; and 16 miles of I-69 from the Lyon County line to the Hopkins County line.
in Hopkins County, the project will include seven miles of the Breathitt Parkway from the Christian County line to the Western Kentucky Parkway overpass; and 37 miles of I-69 from the Caldwell County line to the Webster County line.
Drivers are asked to reduce their speed and be aware of slow-moving traffic as the yellow striping is addressed.
