Hopkinsville Man Charged With Wanton Endangerment

A Hopkinsville man was charged after he allegedly pointed a gun at several people on South Jessup Avenue Sunday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 37-year-old Antonio Artis entered the home without the owner’s consent and took a gun away from a woman who had told him to leave.

He then reportedly took the gun outside and pointed it at two people before law enforcement arrived. Police say when they arrived Artis went back inside and put the gun on a table.

He was arrested and reportedly found to have synthetic drugs on him. He is charged with third-degree terroristic threatening, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, first-degree criminal trespass, first-degree burglary, possession of synthetic drugs, and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
