Woman Charged With Taking Money And Jewelry While Working As Caregiver

A Hopkinsville woman was charged Monday morning after she reportedly took jewelry and money while working as a caregiver in Hopkinsville.

Hopkinsville Police say from May to June 48-year-old Julia Blane took a wedding ring from a 94-year-old nonverbal woman and pawned the ring. She also allegedly took a credit card from an 80-year-old and made purchases for over $300.

She was arrested and charged with theft by deception, fraudulent use of a credit card, knowingly exploiting an adult, and theft by unlawful taking or deception.
