Police have released more information about a wreck on West 7th Street at Dink Embry’s Buttermilk Road in Hopkinsville Monday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say an eastbound car driven by 26-year-old Wesley Benson of Springfield, Tennessee, was turning onto West 7th Street from Princeton Road and pulled into the path of a westbound car driven by 53-year-old Willie Crenshaw of Cadiz.
Crenshaw was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center to meet with a waiting helicopter to transport him to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of severe head injuries.
Benson was cited to court for not having his operator’s license.
The crash happened just before 3 pm.
