After nearly 10 months in its new location on Main Street, The Bargain Barn of Helping Hands is doing well, so well, the organization is donating the old building. During its 25th Anniversary Cookout Saturday, Founder KG Ariagno presented Cadiz Mayor Todd King with keys to the building.
The building on Lafayette Street served as the home of the organization for many years.
The two offically signed the transfer documents before beginning the presentation. King says he is proud Helping Hands has existed for a quarter of a century.
As part of the celebration, the Board asked King to help present plaques honoring the founders.
Ronella Stagner's son, David Stagner accepted the plaque on behalf of the family.
Helping Hands moved into the new Main Street location late last fall.
